At the heart of everything we do is rugby – the sport we really enjoy with a passion.
So we begin in Khelo with everyone playing rugby, we know boys and girls really enjoy playing with the rugby ball, running, passing and swerving. It is also every childs right to play, and we ensure this is done in a safe, coach controlled environment.
As we get to know the children and learn more about the challenges they face at home and in their communities we can better understand what sort of help they would like from us.
This might mean providing a small scholarship to be able to stay in education, some skills training to be able to get a better job or the provision of a bicycle to make getting to school that bit easier.
By bringing all of these aspects together we believe Khelo Rugby can be a positive influence on how a young person lives. How they contribute to their community. How they can in due course support their own families. And longer term, become an asset to their country.
And this is what we mean by:
